Welcome to The Bubbly Hostess! My name is Heather - I love to cook, entertain, plan parties, and of course - drink champagne. I am so excited to share my planning tips, party ideas, and favorite recipes. I started this site to do just that. Growing up, I watched my mom cook, bake, and throw great parties, so I'm sure my interest in cooking and entertaining came from her. Being a wife and a mommy, my party style ranges from birthday parties for little ones to elegant cocktail parties for the grown ups. I plan to include a combination of my own ideas coupled with those from others. You'll find that my recipes leave some room for experimentation - I don't usually make the same dish exactly the same way twice - I love to try different things! Enjoy my site, leave feedback, and give my ideas a whirl!

I found you through your Pinterest recipe for champagne something or other. You lost me at champagne! You are a girl after my own heart and I am looking forward to exploring your site.

ReplyDeleteLoved your printables! They were the perfect final touch to our party favors!
DeleteHello, Heather! I just came upon your blog and see you were at The Good Life Festival several weeks ago. Did you happen by our truck, J-Licious Tasty Teazy Tacos for some of Chef's signature Duck Confit tacos? We too did the book signing (so we could meet and feed TF). If you go to our J-Liciousaz Facebook page you will see our photog with him. I don't think you came by. If not, hopefully we will meet-up sometime in the near future so you can sample our "Duck U" taco. Just be sure to introduce yourself to me, MaMaJ or one of "The Girlies" who will be working the line with me, so we can let you taste our tacos "on the truck." You cannot miss us - we are The Big Pink! Our French-infused Oaxacan cuisine backs up our boldness and our sass!! Oh - and BTW - plz bring champagne. The Duck Confit deserves it! Look forward to meeting you. . .

Hi J-Licious Tasty Teazy Tacos! Let me first apologize for taking so long to respond! We actually did stop by your truck at The Good Life Festival and tasted the samples by the truck - I don't think it was the Duck Confit tacos though, but what we tried was delish! I will definitely check out your Facebook page and follow you so that I know where you will be next! Would love to try it with champagne! Look forward to meeting you as well!
DeleteGuest columnist for the Bubbly Hostess (Jennifer Dunaway) wrote an article in SE Valley Ledger about SOS recipe. FYI - "authentic" SOS is generally made with chipped beef, not w/ sausage or ground beef.
ReplyDeleteSausage is what our family traditionally uses but I am open to trying chipped beef next time - it sounds tasty!! Thanks for the idea! - Jennifer
DeleteThanks for the feedback on the chipped beef for the authentic recipe! I will definitely include that as an option when I write the blog post.
